FAQs
What is the typical pricing?
Our programs begin at $2,500 for a 4-week rotation. Discounted packages are available starting at 12-week rotations or longer.
What services are included in the program?
You will work alongside BC physicians and cover all the day-to-day administrative and clinical duties. You will be covered by medical liability insurance. CV and Letter review, and interview coaching.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards and PayPal.
When should I apply for a rotation?
There are a limited number of open position available for each physician, so students will be accepted on a first come first serve basis. You may apply up to six months in advance, but no later than 6 weeks before the desired rotation start date.
How does the process work?
Once we receive your application we will contact you to discuss your options. Once that is finalized, you will be required to pay a deposit, at which point you will be notified of the details of our preceptor. Payment is due 4 weeks prior to the start date. On your first day you will be given your weekly schedule.
What will my schedule be like?
It may vary depending on the physician, but on average you will have three-four full days per week.
What locations are available?
Our network of physicians is constantly growing, so we are offering new locations as they become available.
Do you sponsor Visas for foreign students?
No, but we can offer a letter if that is useful for your Visa process.
ABOUT US
Med-XR gives medical students the opportunity to work alongside physicians to gain hands-on clinical experience and significantly improve their candidacy for residency programs in US healthcare organizations. In addition to gaining clinical experience by working with BC/BE physicians in various specialties, students will also receive coaching, have the opportunity to expand their network of physicians, and be eligible to receive referrals and a letter of recommendation. The program will help students get acclimated to the US Healthcare system and various processes such as physical examination of patients, as well as clinical and administrative processes. The experience and skills can provide an advantage over other candidates and give students an edge in applications for residency.
